The thirty-five plus kilometres of trails on
and around the Haliburton Scout Reserve
are maintained and developed in a cooperative effort by the current staff, by members of the Haliburton Scout Reserve
Staff Alumni which was founded in 1988,
and by campers through the Adopt-A-Trail program. Hundreds of "person
hours" each summer are spent clearing
deadfalls, cutting back brush and upgrading trail markers and signs. Trail work
weekends are also held in the fall.
